Care & History of Teagan Jewelry

Care

Always apply all make-up, hairsprays and perfume before putting on jewelry.

Remove jewelry during strenuous physical workouts or doing housework involving cleaners

Store jewelry in individual pouches, boxes or Ziploc bags to prevent scratches and tarnishing. Most cotton and silk linings promote tarnishing.

Cleaning
Teagan Co uses highly refined 925 marked silver and most pieces are coated with a rhodium finish to prevent tarnishing but, nothing is completely effective in preventing tarnish. Tarnish occurs naturally when silver reacts with sulfur or hydrogen sulfide in the air. You may deter tarnishing by frequent wearing and occasional cleaning. Teagan Co recommends cleaning with a non-abrasive pre-treated silver polishing cloth or a solution of mild dish soap and warm water then, wipe or gently buff jewelry with a lint free cloth until shiny and store in an air tight ziploc baggie.

Never soak your jewelry in a solution and always look for the makers mark or 925 fineness mark when buying quality silver. Click on picture for more.
